Why These Recipes Work for Diabetes Management

Summer is the perfect season for firing up the grill and enjoying delicious, healthful meals outdoors. All the recipes included in this roundup focus on using whole foods and seasonal ingredients that are naturally gluten-free and have a low glycemic index. This means they help maintain stable blood sugar levels while providing essential nutrients.

The easiest way we have found to do this is by building a balanced plate which focuses on incorporating more plant-based dishes, like a quinoa salad and veggie sides. This not only ensures you get a variety of vitamins, minerals, and fibre but also supports blood sugar control and overall diabetes management.

Managing Diabetes at a BBQ

Managing diabetes at a BBQ doesn’t have to be stressful. Here are some key tips we use to help us all enjoy a summer BBQ that is both delicious and diabetes-friendly.

One of the most effective ways to manage diabetes (as in a lot of cases) at a BBQ is to plan ahead.
